It's tough for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

We're talking about the team that has won seven Cricket World Cups, plus another six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed nearly four years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, targeted by the record chasers, are the only things left for a team that has achieved everything.

The fact it required up to Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase exceeding 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, in truth, a testament to the bowlers that have represented Australia over five decades.

It's challenging for their batsmen to possess a record if not afforded the opportunity.

The question of whether this newest brilliant performance exceeded that prior achievement remains open for discussion.

Many contend the reasoning behind the pressure of a final. Different voices suggest with the challenge that comes when facing a record target and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's definite is this ton was far harder to see coming.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 came as she was the highest scorer, but this performance was preceded by six games in India since the start of last month in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"If you've observed me in training, it has been a frustrating experience because I feel like my form was missing completely," stated Healy.

"But once you enter the playing area, your competitive instincts take over and you just lock into the competition."

Healy's fighting spirit has continuously been her key asset - and an invaluable trait in succeeding famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, fallen to the emerging pace bowler in all three matches, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's inspiration.

"The possibility to go out there and face the challenge with her and just have a bit of fun in that regard, sort of got me going," commented Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 balls - her quickest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 as she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

By the time she was dismissed Australia required another 66 at one run per ball - a manageable total now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Pursuing 330 is unfamiliar ground so I'm happy we have the belief to do that now," continued Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it again but, if we do, we know we can succeed."

That comment will be the final thing rival teams at this tournament want to hear.

During the last week a feeling they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this triumph coming after victory over Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at one point.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.

It was in the semi-finals they exited last year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - a game Healy missed because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the inaugural occasion at a major tournament.

So great is her will, she subsequently stated she regretted not playing through the pain.
